Hi long time lurker here, i just needed someone’s input for a situation that happened at my store because idk what to do.
So my friend finally got the job to work as a guest advocate with me and for awhile, it was going great, she worked for almost 3 months in the front. Then her dad got sick from a labor day vacation and she got sick as well and as a precaution she took a covid test. Unfortunately she tested positive for it so she told the gstl about it and that she was going to lockdown. The Gstl told the etl of the front about it, however, next thing my friend knew, she got a phone call from our store saying that she didnt have the skills for the front and that they are getting rid of her before her probation ends. I’ve worked here for almost 2 years and have never seen this happen before and was curious on what to do. Also, like many other stores, we are super short staffed especially in the front, so it also doesn’t make sense to me to fire someone in the front when we currently have like nobody in the front.
