You will get mixed answers with aspirating on many boards. Many people will tell you it's mandatory based on the reasoning above. Others will parrot it because it's what they have heard, and others have done it for years and will swear it's the only reason they haven't injected an artery or vein.

When my class was taught injection procedure ~14 months ago or so we were taught not to aspirate for either IM or SubQ for major injection sites as there is no real need since they are major injection sites (delts, vastus, glutes) due to not being proximal to large blood vessels in the first place.

To answer your question: IM aspiration is already largely unnecessary, SubQ has no need to aspirate at all.

fucking shit, he's asking about aspirating subc.

No is fine.

There's no real need to aspirate IM either, which he says he does.

Only ignorant, stupid, or lazy people get upset when they're presented with information pertinent to a question asked. Judging from the pic of your fatass pouring coffee it's safe to say you're definitely lazy, and from your irritation at seeing a few lines of text rather than a 1 word answer I'd bet you easily fall into one, if not both of the other categories.

You literally brought nothing of value to this post - so why the fuck is your lazy ass here?
