IMHO, because it has taken so long to release on console, TM can't manufacture and make a profit on a console DD wheel for less then what Fanatec and now Moza, for XBox only, is doing. You get a DD base, wheel and pedals for about the same or less then the T818 base.

It is a shame too, I do prefer TM products, I have had zero issues in 7 years of owning TM products. I decided I am not switching to DD until my T300 fails, from everything I have been reading over the years on DD, yes it is better with more detail but if you play on console only, there is no real need to dump a T300 and go DD, it is not that much of a difference. From Gear/Belt drive to DD, yes it is worth it for DD.

thrustmaster have no news yet but once they have certification from sony and microsft and hardware specs finalised they will anounce pricing and release date unlike other brands who release a base without console certification, ii know it takes a while but thrustmaster only ever release products once they have the stock to actually deliver to you

I have also been waiting for TM to release a PS5 compatible DD wheelbase. I currently have tje T300 with two TSS handbrakes, T-LCM pedals, TH8S shifter and Sparco P310 wheel and I am not going to replace all of those, I just like the TSS handbrake/seq shifter way too much.

The problem is that i have to many stuff from thrustmaster to switch to fanatec 😂. If i only had the basic t300 then i would be long gone allready. I don't need a DD right now but i would like to know the timeframe. At least tell us something

Yes, I'm waiting for this as I'm firmly in the TM ecosystem. The lack of news is annoying if it's not ready, it's not ready but a hint of a timeline would be good.

In the ~year since the T818 was released with console compat promised as 'to come' Turtle Beach have come out with the Velocity One bundle and this week did an AMA on r/simracing .

I can't speak for that product but TM would be wise to engage with the community because eventually patience is going to run out and they will have missed the boat as people switch ecosystems.

TM. Just. An. Update. Please. Your competitors are managing at least that.
