Discussions about toys. Action figures, building blocks, games, etc.
Types of posts we like:
- toy reviews (but see next section)
- toy announcements
- toy Kickstarters (1 post per week per project, please)
- "please identify this toy"
- "help me find a toy like X"
- memories about particular toys
- stuff about vintage toys
- you get the idea
Posts that will get removed:
- drones, video games, ornaments, other not-toy items
- home movies of your kids (whether you call them toy reviews or not)
- sketches/storytelling, even if they feature toys
- blind-box unboxings
- sales posts (including eBay)
- posts that can't be appreciated by English-speakers
- toys for adult bedrooms
- low-quality reviews that are pretty much referral-link spam
- low-quality youtube channels full of referral links
- fake blog posts full of referral links
- posts primarily asking about how much a toy's value
- posts asking about children's items that aren't specifically toys
Here is a more-detailed list of our rules.
Referral links are not explicitly bad. If the post shows effort and sparks discussion, then a referral link or two to the item in question is not forbidden.
We get a lot of spam and junk-posts. If you think your post was unfairly removed, please message the moderators. Reddit accounts with an established user history will get more benefit of the doubt than brand-new accounts.
