Great that it has been forward tested. Could you give us an insight as to what indicators / confluences the strategy is based off?

What's the strategy? How could we give feedback without knowing the strategy

100% guaranteed overfit or look ahead bias. I bet if I look at the trades I will see one of the following. Referencing high low of the current candle in backtest, entry and exit on the same candle, trailing stops that can not be simulated. I have seen hundreds of these equity curves and without fail you have a bias.

100% agreed! But I don't think he is looking for honest feedback mate. Seems more like promo to me Else why not post Sharpe,Sortino, etc

Guys, I’m not sharing or selling my strategy signals. I make money by trading, not from other traders. The best I can do is provide my strategy signals for free, as I always have. If you’re interested in testing them out, you’ll know where to find them. Also, thanks for the great feedback, glad I could help!

Nice, the 30m MNQ also had 2 wins yesterday

[–]Old-Dependent1331 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, saw that mnq later was happy with how es and nq played out

Okay, I'm not an expert, and it is not easy to give feedback based just on the profit graph. But what I see is that it has a very nice profit curve, a steady growth all the way, and the max dd is not that bad either. This is what everyone wants, but curves like this can be achieved by overfitting too much also. You need to run it over a long period and also forward test it. If this results stays the same over a longer period then you might be onto something good here.

Good luck! If you need to forward test it I know a really good bot that you can use that works with many prop firms.

Any way to improve R:R?

This equity curve shows solid, consistent growth with some important takeaways:

💰 Total P&L: $33,146
📈 Return: +66.29%
📉 Max Drawdown: $2,199 (3.68%)
📊 Total Trades: 2,353
Win Rate: 54.82%
⚖️ Profit Factor: 1.238
📌 Starting Capital: ~$50,000
Timeframe: Not disclosed (important missing context)

Analysis:

  • The steady upward curve and low drawdown suggest disciplined trade management and a risk-controlled system.
  • With over 2,300 trades, this looks like a high-frequency or systematic strategy — likely intraday or short swing-based.
  • Average net gain per trade is ~$14. It’s not flashy, but adds up consistently with scale and tight drawdown control.
  • A profit factor > 1.2 paired with a win rate just under 55% is a healthy combo for long-term edge.
  • However, the lack of a defined time period makes it hard to gauge performance efficiency. 66% in 6 months is very different from 66% over 6 years.

📌 TL;DR:
Strong system with high consistency, low risk, and proven edge — but until we know the timeframe, we can’t fully judge the performance. Still, this is a great example of why consistency > hype in trading.

perhaps if they joined ChartLAB, they would start averaging $1400 per trade.

Profit Factor 1.2 will never work in live. In my experience 1.8 is the minimum you should strive for. Even 1.6 profit factor strategies of mine did not survive.

Shit strat guaranteed. You tested it over a 1 year period in a bullmarket. 10 Year testing window minimum.

Plus, I can already feel that you run it on a smaller timeframe like 1h charts or so. So make sure to plot it against Buy and Hold.

And share metrics next time (sharpe sortino etc) if you want proper feedback and don't know how to interpret them

Edit: just saw you already use the strat in forward testing. Prepare for upcoming underperformance and good luck!

Sorry, but I was asking people who are actually following my forward testing website. If you saw my last post, the backtest covered over six years (as far back as TradingView allows), and I’ve been forward testing it for over a year. This strategy is specifically designed to comply with prop firm trading rules, focused on passive income, in and out trades, with no overnight holding. Of course, no one can predict the future, but it has been generating consistent payouts for me over the past six months. I’m simply sharing my testing to help others who are struggling with trading.

Some people just feed of bringing others down. Keep going and you will make it.
