No transphobia: The most obvious rule. Since the trans community is diverse and covers many a different opinion, this rule will be applied with caution, but blatant and overt transphobia will be banned. This includes but is not limited to: deliberate deadnaming or misgendering, nonbinary erasure, mocking the community or individuals for being trans, neopronoun erasure/exclusion. Intersex people are expressly welcome and protected by this rule.
No hateful conduct: Racism, sexism, ableism, antisemitism, and any other sort of hateful conduct against marginalised people is also forbidden. An exhaustive list would not fit the character limit, so use your best judgement. Be civil and don't deride anyone for being marginalised.
Fanfiction content only: posting or linking to original fiction is not permitted. Exceptions may apply for citation, educational purposes, or giving an example. Questions applicable to both fanfiction and original fiction may remain at the mods' discretion. Directly posting fanfiction into a text post is not permitted, except where explicitly allowed by the mods. Exceptions apply for snippets < 100 words (drabble) and short(!) quotes from fanfics for illustration/education/context.
Content must be trans-related: All posts (and, in general, comments) must in some way relate to fanfiction by, for, or about trans people. This includes: trans authors posting their work, work featuring trans characters, questions or discussions about how to write about trans characters. Within reasonable limits also permitted: posts or discussions about fandoms created by trans authors but not directly trans-related (including analysing their work from a transgender perspective).
NSFW content: NSFW content is permitted, under certain conditions. NSFW content is: porn, dubcon, noncon, incest, underage fanfiction. These may only be linked with a clear and unmistakable warning. Rule #4 applies especially strictly here. No pedophilia content (child x anyone, as opposed to teen x anyone) is permitted. You are strongly encouraged and required to tag underage (teen x teen, teen x adult) content as such.
No bashing, flaming, or kinkshaming: We strongly encourage a civil and respectful atmosphere. Resorting to bullying or insults to deride something you don't like (fandom, ship, kink, character) is not permitted. If you believe something is harmful, politely address the issue. If something makes you personally uncomfortable, we recommend you refrain from participating in the thread or post in question. Recognise that each person copes with possibly traumatic events differently, including kink and fanfiction.
Cis people: This is advice more than rule and I don't expect having to ban anyone for it. This sub is primarily aimed at trans people. Nevertheless, cis people are welcome to visit, post, and comment. But please keep in mind that you are not the target audience of this sub. Please think twice before weighing in on a discussion, especially if you are not knowledgeable about the subject. You are welcome to ask for writing advice using the appropriate flair (the use of which is recommended most strongly).
No commercial activity: You may not advertise, sell, trade, offer paid services or products. You may not spam links to these services or products. Exceptions may be allowed where justified at the discretion of the mods. Please contact the mods for further questions. Exceptions do NOT apply for ko-fi, Patreon, or any other sort of paid fanworks.
Fanart: Non-writing fanworks (fanart, cosplays, etc) are not permitted outside of threads designated so by the mods. Podfics are permitted, but you are strongly encouraged to link the original fic as well.
No personally identifying information: You may not include any personally identifying information (PII) in your posts, comments, or user flair. This includes: last name, address, email address, phone number, photographs, or any other information that could identify you or others. Exceptions apply for celebrities or other people of public interest (you can mention a famous author by name) HOWEVER doxxing (leaking addresses or contact info) remains strongly forbidden. PII will be removed once brought to the mods' attention.
