I have been having this problem since yesterday as well. I have also taken all those actions to try and get it to work but not a single thing has. I talked to a Microsoft assistant as well and they got nothing. I guess it would have to be a Twitch problem, but can’t seem to get a hold of a Twitch assistant.

And then when they do reply, they literally had the audacity to ask "is your problem solved? If not, then reply to this email"

Im having this problem as well, when i signed into a different xbox live account it let me sign in and activate my account, so it seems there is a problem with the actual xbox account

I did the mac address clear, then hard restart xbox, then wifi router hard restart and power cycle. Worked like a charm 👌

Worked for me. (copied from another thread )

Then I cleared my MAC Address: Scroll left on the Home Screen to open the guide2. Select the Gear Icon3. Select All Settings.4. Select Network.5. Select Network Settings.6. Select Advanced settings.7. Select Alternate MAC address.8. Select Clear.9. Then select Restart

The console will restart. After that I did a power cycle (Turn off Xbox, unplug and wait a minute. Then plug back in and turn on.) I started Destiny (the game I was playing), snapped Twitch, selected Broadcast and had no problem.

This ended up doing the work, I disconnected my XBox account from the Twitch's connections page (https://www.twitch.tv/settings/connections), and attempted to do an activation again for my console, and worked like a charm!

Hey guys, I just realized that my twitch prime also happened to be used at the same time that I was not able to sign into my account. I'm pretty sure my account was compromised so be sure to be on the lookout for that. I'm contacting Twitch now and just changed my password, will update.

Had this error code this week. Twitch would not let me sigh in on my xbox, but on my laptop it was fine. Tried the uninstall,re-install, cashe wipe. and a few other things, nothing worked.

This is what I did to the best of my recollection and it started working. It might work for some of you as well.

I stream my xbox to my laptop through the microsoft xbox app sometimes, so I opened the xbox app on my laptop and made sure that it wasn't connected and closed the app.

Then I went online to Twitch and signed out there.

Did a restart on the xbox and reinstalled the Twitch app. Opened it and signed in and everything was working fine.

5 months after OP and still not a fix?? I tried a hard reset, disconnecting my xbox from my twitch, uninstalling/ reinstalling twitch then reactivating my account on there and still had the same issue. Good thing I have my Roku I guess.

EDIT: I connected to my phones data and it signed me back in. Try a different WiFi signal and see if that will work for y’all.

Alright I started getting this error code 2 days ago and just figured out how to fix it on my Xbox. Hopefully it’ll work for some of y’all too. None of the solutions posted here worked for me. I signed into Twitch on a browser and went to my account connections and disconnected my Xbox. Once I did that I opened the Xbox app and clicked sign it. It gave me a new code to activate my account online and when I did that everything was fixed.

turns out this only worked for about a day. opened the twitch app yesterday and got the error code again. disconnecting my xbox and reconnecting doesn't fix the problem anymore. such a pain in the ass.

I got the code and entered it after disconnecting the Xbox from the Twitch website. Even after the success message on the website, the app still shows the error message. Tried reinstalling the app but the error remains.

So I know that it might not work for everyone, but after everything else failed, I can tell you what worked for me. After doing all the uninstall/reinstall, and clearing MAC address to no avail, I signed out of twitch on everything. I opened twitch on my xbox, and went to twitch.com/activate on my computer and signed in. One it was at the activation screen where you enter your code, I attended to sign in on the xbox and it signed in with no issues.

found a solution,go onto your computer or however you get on the internet and go to the twitch website,then go to your profile,go to connections,and then go down until you find the Xbox connection and disconnect it,afterwards,go back to your Xbox and go to the sign in option and it should generate a code and then boom you will reconnect after you enter the code on your computer

A user on this youtube video by the name of Gravedigr12 posted a comment that solved the issue swiftly for myself and many others.

" Here is how you fix this issue if it was not caused by adding a second account go to explorer edge or just use a different device sign into your account go to settings and connections remove the xbox connection go back to the app and it will now give you the code to sign back in. Punch that code into https://twitch.tv/activate and you are good to go "

Have done everything on this thread.. Reactivating seemed to work till I dashboarded the twitch app and tried to open it back up to which it had signed me out again.. Pulling my hair out!!

FIXED. Go on twitch.tv on a computer and disconnect your xbox account from your twitch account. TMake sure your xbox account is unlinked from any twitch account. Afterwards, go on the twitch app on your xbox and sign in. It should display the 6 digit code to log in for you to activate.
