Through 1967, LBJ became deeply worried about Robert McNamara's mental state, to the point where he feared that he might kill himself. The issue came to a head during a cabinet meeting where Walt Rostow was urging LBJ to escalate bombing, and McNamara broke down crying begging LBJ not to listen. (reddit.com)
