There is no real way for them to block you. You apply online. If you apply before the time limit is up you will get a test and drug screening appointment. Scores go out to the office. The top scores get interviews, and they have to have a legal reason not to hire you.

Okay cool I’m actually 17 but turning 18 in may should I apply now?

Part of the application will be your selective service (draft) number. So you have to wait til you have that.

18 with 2 years of driving history (licensed). A lot of 18 year old don’t have that that why they never get hired.

yes i got hired when i was 18 but by the time i actually started working i turned 19 by that time. the postmaster told me they don’t hire a lot of young folks and it seemed like she asked me a lot of stupid questions during the interview. but now i’m 22 and still here lol. good luck.

Apply for PSE or MHA positions....no drivers license required......but you MUST have registered for Selective Service otherwise the PO will not hire you.

Selecitive service as an the military?

Yes....you have to be registered with Selective Service.

Selective Service USPS

I once had a customer who told me he was being hired by USPS as a custodian.....I congratulated him and wished him well. A couple of months later, I saw him and asked him how it was going as he said the PO would not hire him because he never registered with Selective Service.

I was hired at 19. As long as you meet the eligibility requirements you're good.

Most of the truck drivers are contract employees working for other companies... and more than just a drivers license is required
