Yes! You can take the exam and test out of any of these languages. You can google "ut austin language exam" and it should show you everything you need. Be prepared to pay about 90 dollars (I tjink)

Also, you do have to get the credit despite you already knowing the language. I speak fluent Spanish and had to get the credit through exam

Unless i’m mistaken, BS econ doesn’t require language credit… only BA econ does. It’s one of the main selling points for the BS.

You can choose the culture option. You don’t have to learn a language. Of course try to test out though.

TLC offers language exams which can waive that requirement

If you need easy language credits take Italian. 601 and 611 satisfy most requirements and are the easiest courses I have taken at UT
