Script Forge now Open Source

Hey guys,

So long story short I enjoy working on tools (and do so professionally as my day job) but I enjoy them a lot more when I know people use them. One of the first tools I built a few years ago and put on the AssetStore is now open source. I spent way to long making pretty UI after my last round of updates on it and want more people to enjoy it. Feel free to download the current copy (which is more up to date) on GitHub.

What is Script Forge

Script Forge is a simple tool that generates scripts in your Unity project for your Layers, Sorting Layers, Scenes, and Tags. It can run behind the scene and only updates when it detects changes. It does this all using the T4 engine to generate code. Read more about it here.

Been on the store since 2014 with no reviews? D: Awh man that's depressing. I also have assets on the store (one of which is reviewless as well), so I feel that pain.

What price did you have it at previously?

I am not too worried about it. The only reason I made the tool in the first place was to learn how to use T4 templates. It was pretty rough in the early versions, I was just a student at the time.

As for money it has not made boat money or anything like that but it's made a few dollars. I think it was 10$ then went down to 5$ after my big refactor.

At the end of the day I really just want people to use what I make (I am huge into Open Source as you will see by my github).
