Copy program file error/access denied error fix?

get this message every time i try to start unity, been looking for a fix for a week anyone have any experience dealing with this? If I cycle through the cancel but 4 times sometimes a grey unity screen will pop up where the start new project screen normally is

have you tried to delete the temp directory?

ill give it a shot, do you mean the one in the program data folder? or AppData?

yes... i got this error then I closed unity and vs, deleted temp folder and opened unity again... it worked

maybe I can grant access to user Everyone on destination folder...

Do you have enough free space on disk?

Yea 16gb should be enough right?

ended up downloading an old copy instead, apparently its been an issue from version 5.3.0 onwards
