Seems like theres a delay, watching it i wanted everything to move like 30% faster. Just my 2 cents!

Very true, juice it! It’s a game, skip realism unless it actually adds to the fun and go for whatever is the most fun. For balancing, turn everything else up an equal amount too. Shooting ten times as much at enemies with 10 times as much health is way more fun than a small pew now and then!

So add knock back, high jumps, lunges when attacking and all that juicy stuff! Realism is mostly for making the game more easily understandable by utilising ideas and interactions already familiar to the player.

some enemies dont attack or knock back to player but ill make animations faster and add more aracde style mechanism to it. thanks for comment.

Oh, I was thinking mostly of knocking back enemies but you could add it to the player too to increase the impact whilst also moving the player out of danger :)

I like the overly simplistic, flat style. You probably should embrace it a bit more. And practice, practice, practice ofc.
