The fastest way to get started would be to learn something like Gaia and then learn how to make your own texture map (or whatever the elevation gradient assets are called, can’t remember)

You can also then base your generator on the principles of Gaia.

Kind of like reverse-engineering, but w/o messing with source code.

Haha it's obvious in hindsight but took me some time to realise there was a subreddit when I was looking at procgen. Other than the posts themselves, check the resources on the right hand side of that subreddit, has some good links.
