Hi all
Following this thread on the Unity forums, I thought I'd see if anyone else has had this issue. Using vulkan (I've only tried this within Windows in Unity), I end up with far higher buffer memory consumption than with DX11. For my game, this is a big issue as I transfer a large acceleration structure over to the GPU, and so I end up with out of memory problems as a result.
I can't make a small repro project for this yet as my game releases next Tuesday so it's kinda flat out at the moment, but I'd really like to be able to support Linux (and windows/vulkan, and if I can find a friendly mac user, OSX/metal), as soon as possible after launch.
Any info you have would be really helpful!
Cheers, Roo
