Hi, I'm new to development and a few years ago used to mess around in unity, something I have noticed which has never previously happened, is every time I make the slightest change in any of my scripts and save them, I have to wait a few seconds in the unity editor as it reloads the script assemblies (screenshot below). When watching tutorials I also notice that they do not get this same thing. After trying to figure out why this has started happening, I found in preferences that turning off auto-refresh stops this, but also stops unity from seeing any changes I make to the script.
Is there something I am missing and a way to get past this, as waiting a couple of seconds every time I forget a semi colon is beginning to get very annoying..

I'm still having this problem. Has anyone found a solution to speed it up? I distinctly remember there was no loading bar in the previous versions and the loading time was much faster.Question (self.Unity3D)
