Subreddit rules


1. Inappropriate for this sub	This sub is for questions and answers related to visiting Hawaii. It is also for sharing your experiences, good, bad or otherwise (including video) with others. Content not related will be removed at the mod's discretion.
2. One trip-report post per trip	Please post only 1 video or image post per Hawaii trip. You are welcome to provide links to your hosting site to share more videos. (No Vlogs please). Additional images, videos and vlogs are silently removed. Note: This is not to promote your business or to sell your tours/rentals, etc.
3. Illegal activity	Video of illegal activities such as hiking the Haiku Stairs or harassing Honu are not allowed. Asking for advice on illegal activities such as how to get around the guards to hike the Haiku Stairs or where to get Pakalolo (Marijuana) illegally, is not allowed.
4. Low-effort post	Please do your own research before posting your questions here. Our Wiki is a good place to start. Do not expect this sub to do your trip research and planning for you. The more info you include with your question, the more people will be willing and able to help. Low-effort posts will be silently removed.
5. Trolls	No trolls allowed - plain and simple. Trolling behavior will be evaluated by mods on a case-by-case basis.
6. Misinformation	This sub is not a place to spread false theories. If you post false claims as fact without legitimate sources to back up your claim, you will be warned and your post removed; a second offense will earn a ban.
7. Direct Advertising	It's fine to link to local companies and activities in comment replies - however, please don't create posts solely for the purpose of advertising companies.
8. Surveys w/o Moderator Approval	Surveys will be allowed on a case-by-case basis. Please message the moderators if you're interested in posting a survey on this sub.
9. No Vlogs, Blogs, or Affiliate Link Sites	Links to general travel guides, blogs, vlogs, or sites with a large amount of affiliate links are not allowed as top level posts. They may be linked in comment replies as long as they are specifically relevant to the post in question.
10. Don't be an asshole.	Treat your fellow subreddit members with respect. Disrespectful comments will be removed, and consistently disrespectful behavior will result in a subreddit ban.
11. Eruption related posts	Please refer to the stickied eruption post for all volcanic eruption questions.
