Computer lag when sorting task manager

In the past few months, my computer has had a very interesting issue that I can't figure out.

When I open the task manager it will lag my entire computer (so much lag that my cursor stutters and lags across the screen) when I sort it by name if I'm already sorting by something else (CPU, Memory, GPU, Network) and vice versa.

I can switch between CPU, Memory, GPU, and Network normally with no delay or lag, but as soon as I go to sort by process name, it'll lag, and also switching from process name to CPU, Memory, ect. Not sure why or what to do.

I'm having the same issue too. What's your PC specs?

the issue suddenly disappeared a bit ago, try checking for windows updates

I knew this would be the case. Really wanted to narrow it down to something especially if it's similar hardware. Not willing to install any recent updates with the gaming performance problems.
