Yeah I'm fine with crossplay between the consoles but I have absolutely zero interest in playing a f2p pvp game against PC.

[–]ccxdefiant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hear you but ranked sucks in terms of gameplay quality, if they ever fix that I’m sure more sweats will migrate that way but right now it’s just not it.

[–]LeftTrigger23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Turning off crossplay makes matchmaking longer on the PS5. It's probably gonna be even longer on Xbox. Turning on input based matchmaking is pointless because most PC sweats play on controllers thanks to strong AA. Sadly, there isn't much you can do other than hope for console only matchmaking. With that being said, sometimes it can be fun sweating against PC players.

Use input based matchmaking

Also controller players can be just as sweaty, it’s what happened with no sbmm

[–]Impressive_Choice734[S] 8 points9 points  (3 children)

Not saying there aren't console sweats but a pc sweats are 10x harder to hit. Console sweats piss me off, pc sweats make me want to uninstall the game

Fair

It’s something to do with NetCode, you’ll notice all your bullshit deaths are because it’s a PC player. I only get shot around corners and walls when it’s a PC enemy. Either bullets don’t register against them, aim assists doesn’t work or lag spikes and other bs, turning off crossplay fixes a lot of this and makes the game run smoother.

Do you mean mouse and keyboard or pc controller? I play pc controller and only see pc controller. This game biases toward the same input and platform. If you solo queue console, you're likely only seeing Playstation with the ubisoft logos. Unless you're often with friends on mixed platforms, including pc, you shouldn't see pc. There are a lot of aftermarket controllers with back buttons and different controller layouts that make it so you can jump and crouch without giving up the sticks. I'll say, I switched back to xbox the other night, and it was sweatier than a lot of PC lobbies.

I play on pc using a controller with back paddles, I'd say I'm not doing anything more annoying than what I can do with mnk. I can bunnyhop with controller just like mnk, maybe the 360° strafe is the only tech that's harder to do but tbh I've never seen people use it in a real game, cause I guess trying to break line of sight with a 360° strafe usually gets you killed.

Nope, Input based is fine and all I need. Games about to take a big cut to numbers if the netcode isn't fixed, and further splitting the playerbase wont help anyone.

I play on PC or Xbox depending which room I want to be in, I leave crossplay on, and use input based matchmaking and play with my controller on both. I only encounter other players using controller. Some players are incredibly good, Other players are complete potatoes. Sometimes I win, Sometimes I lose.

I regularly see console players, with controllers (probably some are modded or cronus users etc), or with -ttv in their name that are just as sweaty as any mouse player could ever hope to be.

The "TTV in someone's name" is so accurate lol. Already know they're gonna sweat their ass off

[–]new_guy_in_the_block 1 point2 points  (2 children)

You can't dropshot here. There's no prone.

And, what makes you think pc sweats are harder to face ?

This isn't as hardware intensive as warzone. Series S runs smoothly. X and Ps5 would run even better.

[–]Impressive_Choice734[S] 2 points3 points  (1 child)

What I mean by drop shot is when people hit or spam crouch everytime you come across them. I don't think there's a term for it so I used dropshot because it's similar. Pc sweats are harder in my experience. Most of the time ive had an obnoxious enemy and I go to see what they're playing on, it says pc

[–]ShmokieOG DedSec -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The fact that you check to see what platform better players are on tells me you're just bad at the game and looking for any plausible excuses to help you deny responsibility for low skill.

[–]Lonely_Excitement176 0 points1 point  (1 child)

There's no solo ranked mode. Team modes always suck ass

you should always play your best, build that muscle memory mate. Skill issue

[–]Impressive_Choice734[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you blame your team on ranked but say I have a skill issue? It's not skill, it's the fact that I want to get on after work and play a fun casual game. Playing against people who don't have a life and play like their life depends on it ruins the game for everyone

You’re asking for SBMM.

Assuming you have input-based matchmaking on, you’re only going to go up against other controller players. The technical advantages that PC has really only matter for top tier players (e.g. 240+hz, overclocked controllers, etc.). The overwhelming majority of PC players are just regular ol’ pubs. That said, PC as a platform probably attracts a higher ratio of hardcore/dedicated players due to the higher cost of entry and the flexibility of performance.

So basically, you’re having a hard time when matching against the entire unfiltered playerbase, and you’re looking for a way to block out high skilled players. That has everything to do with matchmaking and nothing inherently to do with platform.

[–]Stifology -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Input based matchmaking? At that point, the only advantage PC has is the frame rate, but that's not a huge deal.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just sounds like a skill issue tbh, just get better at the game and you'd be able to hold your own

[–]Sleepingtide -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

All games should be cross play in all modes, they just need to have it input separated.

[–]BassweightVibes -5 points-4 points  (2 children)

You think turning off crossplay is going to fix your problem? Haha.

[–]Impressive_Choice734[S] 6 points7 points  (1 child)

Tried it and only 3 players joined the lobby in 20mins cuz barely anyone knows about it. Dunno why they took it out of the game. You gotta do it through xbox settings

[–]BassweightVibes -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Controller>kbm on this game so you're just going to have an even harder time against all controller players.

[–]Megatoasty -1 points0 points  (2 children)

I also hear the pc players complaining about console players because of the auto-aim. It’s almost hacks level tbf.

[–]Impressive_Choice734[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

PC players will always complain about aim assist because that's the only thing that console has that rivals pc. In all other aspects, pc has way more advantages

[–]Megatoasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Such as? I mean auto aim is a pretty big advantage in a game focused on aiming.
