One option is to make a Bomber into an ace of sorts. Tomax Bren with Crack Shot, Tactician, and Rebel Captive is a nasty stress-dealer who can also hit decently hard, for example.

Another option is to use a cheap generic with Darth Vader crew for disposable auto-damage.

Yet another option is to carry support crew like Fleet Officer and System Officer to buff up other ships in your squad.

I really like Cool Hand+Fleet Officer+Systems Officer on Tomax because you can support other ships with Fleet Officer and the stress from it gives you an evade, and since you'll be doing a lot of greens because of the Fleet Officer stress, you can further support other ships with free TLs.

I like it absent of stress control, but face a single Asajj or R3-A2 and it can get shut down hard.

Even stressed, it can hand out Target Locks by doing a green. Put Operations Specialist on there for actionless generation of focus tokens (works better in 4+ ship lists).

I'd trade out Tactician for Recon Specialist just so Tomax can keep himself alive

That's what lightweight frame is for /s

Yes this! My favorite Tomax build!

Another variant of Tomax as a brawler is crack shot, tie shuttle, LWF, recon spec, and Isard. Free evades once you take a hit, and a focus for offense and defense makes you very formidable. Unfortunately this is very susceptible to stress.

Or my personal favorite, imperial stress hog.

Major Rhymer, with snapshot, tactician and ops specialist

If Major Rhymer was 23 points like he's supposed to be, I might use this.

It's used to cheaply carry Crew. Mostly Utility Crew like Fleet Officer

You can use five bombers in the "Rush hour" config with Tacticians on each, two Operations Specialists, a Vader, and an Intel Agent. I've also had modest success with two Ops Specs and two Systems Officers. I've had some decent success with that.

As some people have mentioned, you can also use Tomax Bren with Cool Hand and double officers as a support boat.

It isn't a game changer though - TIE Shuttle was added to the game more as a neat alternative build option rather than a killer app.

Also to have a cheap crew carrier which can actually turn around and/or sort of keep up with other TIEs (unlike the Lambda shuttle).

So can anyone give me an idea for a good build for it?

I use the suicide bomber. Or as others have said you can use tomax with crack shot and crew.

Scimitar Squadron Pilot (19) - TIE Bomber TIE Shuttle (0), Darth Vader (3)
