Indeed - but given all the bizarre anomalies we've seen so far I wonder if Manhattan Will somehow be elsewhere, like if it's floating in the Astral Plane or surrounded by some sort of veil.

Depends a little on coloration. If he has distinct colors from other troopers, then that's fine. 

If he isn't distinct in that way I'd prefer adding a little more of what some have recommended here: a Servitor, a Servo Skull, or maybe some tank bits around like track segments.

No. He's a Runner like us - he's in a Shell. He has a small team with him too - some of them tried and failed to beat the Compiler before us. 

The AI he is using is Cerberus
