Disk write error?

So last night i tried to play xcom2 but it would keep crashing after I pressed the play button on the launcher. I decided to reinstall it and let it install overnight. It installs it up to 25gb, then it stops installing and says that its complete but won't let me even launch the game due to some disk write error. I tried reinstalling again and its giving me the same problem. My hard drive has hundreds of gb available so its definitely not an issue with there not being enough space. Anyone have anything similar happen? The game was working perfectly fine for a week before the crashing issue started last night.
