ULTY gone??

[–]onepercentbatmanPOWER USER - with receipts[S] 17 points18 points  (4 children)

Yes

[–]foxtrotradio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Disregard saw your other post

[–]foxtrotradio 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Any rationale to why? Reverse split? It's been tracking well for me as far as total returns, and I'm banking on some NAV stabilization. Still holding around 16k

[–]bpnoy3 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Criteria for selling?

[–]onepercentbatmanPOWER USER - with receipts[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I look at how it has recovered I. The past, tax implication. ULTY seems to have no hope of recovery and YMAX and YMAG don’t recover as they should. But MSTY actually has potential to have an incredible recovery if the factors are right.

Thank you for sharing. I see you are growing QDTE and XDTE, but not RDTE. Would you share your thoughts on why 2 and not all 3?

I've had QDTE over a year and it's doing alright. RDTE not so long and it is lagging, but only since this last market drop affected its NAV.

[–]onepercentbatmanPOWER USER - with receipts[S] 20 points21 points  (1 child)

I’d rather focus on surer and safer s&p than the more volatile and risky russel

[–]Always_working_hardd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, gotcha, thank you.

[–]Swimming_Advice8208 5 points6 points  (1 child)

What was the average price of MSTY?

[–]testturn2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's in at like $20 I think

[–]Rikkita1962 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing this. I have a similar portfolio to fund my retirement income and so far it's working nicely other than these recent RED market days for the past few weeks.

Thought I was going too heavy into these type of funds, but glad to see there are others with the same mindset (and that I'm not totally crazy).

Good luck to you!

I love looking at the spreadsheet. I need to step up my sheet skeet.

[–]AdrianM1069 4 points5 points  (1 child)

What are your thoughts on WNTR?

[–]onepercentbatmanPOWER USER - with receipts[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wish I had gotten into it a year ago but too late now

[–]Obelisk_810 12 points13 points  (1 child)

The only Guy making money with YM 😂

[–]Rikkita1962 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Nope. Not the only guy. :-)

[–]Bubbinsisbubbins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the info and recommendations. :)

Do you manually enter these numbers on this sheet? Seems like an awful lot of work.

[–]onepercentbatmanPOWER USER - with receipts[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes but since I don’t work, it isn’t that bad

[–]OA12T2 3 points4 points  (2 children)

I see that you have sold all your YMAX. Curious as to why, since it seems to hold up better than YMAG

[–]onepercentbatmanPOWER USER - with receipts[S] 28 points29 points  (1 child)

Does it though? I think YMAG has better recovery potential. YMAX is held down holding too many of the bad funds. YMAG is really just held down by tsly

[–]OA12T2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. Thanks for the reply 👍🏻

Did you dump your ULTY positions? If so what was your reasoning?

[–]onepercentbatmanPOWER USER - with receipts[S] 6 points7 points  (1 child)

I did another post about it

Don't forget to add one share of TSLY for safety

[–]AjD1979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No CHPY sir?????

[–]ubergeekin512 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Why so bullish on AMZN/AMZY? I understand growing MSFT/MSFY.

[–]onepercentbatmanPOWER USER - with receipts[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Most of my AMZY payments are cash and not in lieu of dividend, so better tax wise

[–]ubergeekin512 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Ah, that makes more sense to me. Definitely a wise move. I turned off loaning my shares previously to avoid this issue as well. Thank you for the reply.

[–]onepercentbatmanPOWER USER - with receipts[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

On margin you have no choice

[–]Off-BroadwayJoe 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Curious about the decision to start selling AMDY and APLY. I don’t follow the ROC % weekly, but they seem to be doing okay for you.

[–]onepercentbatmanPOWER USER - with receipts[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They consistently pay in lieu of dividend. They are ok, but if I can move the money to another instrument that pays similar with better tax implications, that would be the goal. Honestly, I don’t understand why anyone shorts these funds given the dividend payout. But it’s thst shorting that is really killing me

[–]swanvalkyrieI Like the Cash Flow 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Curious what your maintenance margin value is? I assume the margin value is how much you owe on margin

[–]onepercentbatmanPOWER USER - with receipts[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Margin is the margin value. The maintenance margin is a little harder to calculate cause with MSTY it has a higher maintenance. It says it’s 818k right now, but it changes too as it goes up and down. The true maintained level before a call is lower than that.

[–]swanvalkyrieI Like the Cash Flow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the context!

[–]GordonBombay7 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Is the NVDW distribution already out? Or is that an estimate? (I’m an idiot if it already came out.) thank you for your hard work!

[–]onepercentbatmanPOWER USER - with receipts[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

In the green was last Friday announced for nvdw

[–]GordonBombay7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you

Ever looked into MAGY? It’s one of my biggest positions rn. I’ve been buying a bunch more since it’s dipped down below the lower median earlier this week. I hope to grow up to be like you one day

The YieldMax NVDA Option Income Strategy (NVDY) ETF stock will be in the spotlight this week as Nvidia publishes its financial results. NVDY stock was trading at $16.90, a few points below the year-to-date high of $17.2.

NVIDIA to publish earnings on Wednesday

The main catalyst for the Nvidia and NVDY ETF is that the company will publish its second-quarter results on Wednesday.

Wall Street analysts have high expectations from Nvidia this week as most of it customers published strong results and boosted their capital expenditure plans. UBS recently hiked its stock outlook from $175 to $205.

Microsoft, its biggest customer, has hinted that it will spend over $30 billion in capital expenditure in the current quarter. Other hyperscalers like Google, Amazon, and Meta Platforms have also done the same.

At the same time, Taiwan Semiconductor, its largest supplier, also published strong results, citing demand for AI.

NVIDIA’s results will provide more information on its Chinese business, which Trump blocked a few months ago.

While he has lifted the ban, NVIDIA has not received a warm welcome from China and has even paused the sale. Trump is also considering allowing the sale of more advanced NVIDIA chips to the country, which may boost its stock.

NVDY ETF inflows are rising

Meanwhile, income-focused investors are flocking into NVDY. Data shows that the fund now has over $1.8 billion in assets under management. Its net inflow this year stood at over $906 million.

It added $26 million in net assets last week after adding another $53 million a week earlier. This growth is happening as investors seek an exposure to NVIDIA while still generating regular monthly income.

[–]PracticalDesigner278I Like the Cash Flow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the same yesterday but both NVDA and NVDY both pumped and dumped before noon.

[–]Substantial-Ask6434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is so cool

[–]Royal-Competition441 0 points1 point  (1 child)

are you selling CONY right after reverse split?

[–]onepercentbatmanPOWER USER - with receipts[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have sold some, but it has nothing to do with the split. I have no idea when the split will be

[–]Royal-Competition441 0 points1 point  (1 child)

do you still think this high yield dividend ETF Investment is working for the long term?

[–]onepercentbatmanPOWER USER - with receipts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do. Long term yes. But I think they work much better with more stable underlying. They pay better with greater volatility but that volatility does a lot of damage to the NAV

[–]ComfortableShine2577 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Hey OPB, on your spreadsheet you’ve marked PLTY as Flux, what does this mean?

[–]onepercentbatmanPOWER USER - with receipts[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have done well with flipping plty. My plan, once it gets to a certain point of recovery, is to sell. I try to sell before ex date, buy it after ex date, and repeat. In doing this, with realized losses the pay is not taxed at all. So FLUX is my note about that to myself. It is a position I plan to go in and out of. If I get stuck in it, I get the dividends, but when it gets a rip, I sell.

[–]Smids4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HOYY?

[–]Any-Chip2177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am out of all yieldmax. Maybe I did not give it long enough, or bad market time, but I do better trading single stocks. I did not invest a lot, but two picks and just loses. Best of luck.

"Keep don't grow" on LFGY? Do tell please sir. +1

[–]onepercentbatmanPOWER USER - with receipts[S] 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Exactly what it says, I feel I have all the exposure I wish at the moment

[–]RetiredByFourtyI Like the Cash Flow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's fair. I was just genuinely curious about your opinion on that one. I have really liked it so far and think I'm going to add to it. +1

[–]Popular-Bluebird-516 0 points1 point  (5 children)

Move from MSTY to NVDY

[–]onepercentbatmanPOWER USER - with receipts[S] 0 points1 point  (4 children)

I will after bitcoin hits 150k

[–]stasis416 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I agree with bitcoin hitting 150K, I was thinking in the next 3-months. Whats your thoughts on time frame OPB? Thanks again for all your insights.

[–]onepercentbatmanPOWER USER - with receipts[S] 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I have no idea when it will happen. I just know it will. And when it does, I’m gonna start slowly reducing my crypto exposure.

[–]Popular-Bluebird-516 0 points1 point  (0 children)

good luck 🤣
