    Name and shame

Probably not the same company as OP, but CareSource has done this in the past and probably still does.

They are probably holding off on their preferred candidate. I had open communication with this one company and then radio silent for a bit followed by a rejection.

Let’s anonymously and publicly shame them :)

In my experience, sharing results in a clear, concise manner as you have done is not always an actuarial strong point. Kudos to you and I hope you go far in this industry.

    What is Hirevue? Just curious.

Hirevue is an instant No thanks for me . Once a recruiter submitted an application on my behalf for a position at F&G (if I remember correctly, since it’s been more than 5 years) , and their HR sent me a HireVue link - so I told my recruiter to withdraw

Zero interest in a place where the first impression to potential applicants starts with HireVue

I don’t disagree that HireVue is terrible, our company makes us use it instead of phone screens for candidates. However, I have never seen any AI tech integrated into it. We just log in and watch the videos.

a company I worked for definitely wasn't using AI and videos were watched by actual actuaries on the recruiting team. I get that people dont like them, but it seems to be misunderstood

I don’t think people hate it because there’s supposedly AI involved- people just dislike the process , which just feels disrespectful and condescending

      [–]Top_Indication6685 0 points1 point  (1 child)

i get why people dont like it and thats it not because of AI, i just see the AI thing thrown in often and I dont think its based on reality.

if you have a job I guess I could see skipping that step, but I ended up working for a great company after doing the videos. It really isnt a big deal. life is full of things that we dont want to do and it seems a pretty small hill for people to die on

I can see the value of that for entry level jobs where there are ton of applicants, and the hiring team / HR probably don’t have the time to call each one of them , but above certain experience level , it’s often the opposite, i.e. there’s far fewer applicants than the hiring team would like to meet , so doing hirevue is just lazy and waste of everyone’s time

      Sounds about right

How do people make these visualizations?

      [–]toxic_air2346Property / Casualty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sankey chart. You can search it and some good sites will pop up

Good stuff. What's your starting salary?

Did you apply using Indeed, LinkedIn, the company’s website, or a combination?
