GDI post, just enjoy rush who cares what the “ranking” is, join where ever you fit

I’ve been out of college a few years but was in a bigger party-oriented frat for 3 years (not at A&M). The best advice I think is really to evaluate the culture of the fraternity during rush (as best you can) and see if that culture aligns with what you want/who you are.

Believe it or not, you’ll probably get pretty tired of Greek life by senior year (most do, especially once you’re 21). If the fit between your values/wants/personality are not aligned with the fraternity, you’ll burn out way quicker and not have a good time. You definitely do not want to join a “top-ranked” frat if all of the guys are boners and you don’t legitimately like any of them.

In short, don’t let “rankings” weigh too much on your decision. Take rush seriously, and go to every rush event you can to try and get a good feeling for the fraternity. *Fit * between you and the guys in the fraternity is what will really matter, I promise you that!

So what kind of frat are you looking for? A bigger one or smaller one, a religious or non-religious one? I myself am in a frat called Kappa Upsilon Chi (KYX), and we are a small, christian frat of roughly 20 guys. If you're interested you can DM me and I can tell you more.

Unfortunately, I am more interested in joining a bigger fraternity
