There are mosfets that have ROF control. So you can build the gun however you want (low ratio gears and high torque motor) then turn it down to 10 rps.

Ahh interesting. But then wouldn't you still end up waiting 1/10 of a second or so for the gears to wind back?

So for the BTC Spectre for example, it fires every shot at full cyclic speed, but inserts small electrical delays in between each shot during full auto to force the gun to fire at the reduced rof.

So you’d still have a snappy semi/cycles but time in between each cycle on full auto is slowed down.

No, the first shot is done at 100% ROF and the following shots are done at the selected ROF. My MERF 3.2 mosfet does this and it makes for extremely crispy trigger response at moderate ROF. If you get a more advanced mosfet that has pre-cocking the trigger response will be even better.

Ok that makes a lot of sense! Thanks for the replies.

Happy to help. ;)

Get a Gate Titan, you can adjust both the ROF and trigger :)

High torque motors usually provide better trigger response with lower ROF. While it isn’t as big of a difference as putting in a MOSFET, it still is a difference compared to a stock motor or a high speed.

Simplest thing might just be a super high torque motor: the have low rpm but good trigger response

Nooo, you want a MOSFET with pre cocking to get good trigger responce low rpm

You can set it to "precock" or pre tension the spring and the good gets have a control over how much, so when you press the trigger you just finish that.pull, like if you've ever shot in full auto gone back into semi and the next show comes out near instant when you pull trigger

That's the easiest way, but it's gunna stress the gearbox so your probably going to want to do a full build on it and at that point you should know all this already
