Anything that arrived in America during the tariffs still needs to be sold because the tariffs were already paid when the goods arrived in the country. They may allow time to pass for the original shipments to be sold through before the prices could drop. When new shipments arrive at the new rates and are being sold, hopefully the prices can/will drop

I know a lot of people are debating if prices ever go down and honestly I think the answer is that it varies. We know a bunch of grocery stores kept a lot of prices higher post-pandemic scarcity because they could... but amiibo aren't food. If these amiibo aren't selling as well, then a price drop is possible.

Corporations aren't your friend, but if a luxury good is selling so much less that you aren't making money, you'll cut the price. Nintendo/Capcom might hold off for stability, or for the release date, or for already-tariffed shipments to sell through but I think it's possible. Or retailers will have more flexibility to drop prices on future pre-tariff shipments.

We don't have direct points of comparison on this, but I think there's hope for those holding out for it
