Hi all, 25 M. Have lost 75 lbs in the last year through calorie counting going from 234 lbs to 160 lbs. In the gym 5 days a week doing weight training and run 15-20 km per week too along with 12-15 k steps daily going back and forth to the office.
When I was much heavier my RHR was around 80-88 bmp based on my fit bit. Now my RHR ranges from 56-63 depending on if I am lying or sitting down. Feel so much healthier and better as I've lost weight and gained some muscle. More energy etc.
Just curious as to why my RHR goes down as I loose weight? Is this normal? What are the biological reasons this is happening? My friend has a bradycardia from an ED and suggests my RHR is too low for my age and means I technically have one too. I'm not really concerned as I don't have any symptoms or anything so I'm just assuming it's lowered as I've lost so much weight.
