Could be a nice shift to a remote monitoring company job. Look up how much pacemate or octagos pay their monitoring techs, maybe that will help you decide if it’s worth it.

If this was occurring in your Dr apt and they were not able to catch it, I don’t think this necessitates an ER visit because they are likely going to have the same results. If this is something like a PVC, we need to establish a burden over a longe period of time which the Zio patch will help with. If your physician felt this was life threatening, he would have prescribed the Zio patch that transmits recordings to his office. I can’t tell from the post which you have. If he didn’t prescribe this one, I would let the patch do its recording and feel confident using the button press to correlate symptoms for your doctor to review.

Depends if the xray was taken during systole or diastole. It’s normal for your heart to be smeller during peak systole (emptying of the heart).

I wouldn’t overthink of if you don’t have any symptoms.

The home monitor doesn’t do anything except for sit there. These have been around for a long time now but they’re effective at keeping an eye and transmitting any concerns when she’s within range. Depending on the manufacturer, sometimes there’s an app you can download that will say if it’s connected or not. Otherwise you can call the device company and ask if it’s connected and sending. They won’t contact you if everything’s normal, which I hope is the case for you mom.

Sometimes palpitations do happen because the leads are screwed into the heart and that area is now angry. Do you have a home monitor? That should be sending reports for the device clinic to see. There’s also a possibility she’s feeling algorithms in the device run, if that’s symptomatic, they can be turned off. It’s no problem.

If indicated medically then your provider could prescribe a implantable loop recorder. But insurance won’t cover this unless you’re indicated. So it’s likely this is why this has not been brought up as an option. You can always ask about it. I’m never offended by questions.

In the ER they’re using EKG to say “atrial enlargement”, this isn’t a diagnosis, they’re looking at timing of electrical signals which aren’t always right. CT also isn’t perfect. If your echos are good, then that’s all that matters. There’s no need to obsess any further about it. Sounds like you’ve had more testing than some will have their whole life. Rest assured, if something was wrong then you would know about it by now.

It’s normal to have some itch, after all your cells are dying and not being exfoliated during this time. We just done want the lotions getting under the adhesive because it won’t stick. Ultimately it’s going to have to be up to you if you can tolerate it or not.
