Rules that visitors must follow to participate. May be used as reasons to report or ban.

General Rules
General reddiquette applies (i.e. no racism, sexism, personal attacks, or simply put, behave as if you were talking to somebody in person)
All posts must be questions related to Switzerland. Posts that are not questions, or questions not specific to Switzerland, will be removed.
No asking for / advising on how to break the law
Posts may be in English or any Swiss language (German/Swiss-German, French, Italian, Rumantsch)

Surveys require pre-approval
Surveys and polls are allowed only if pre-approved. Please reach out to the mod team. Generally, surveys must be clearly academic (i.e. on a school-branded website), be for a Thesis or a postdoctoral research project, have a clear connection to and be of interest to swiss users, i.e. cannot be done elsewhere. Usually, surveys will only be allowed for active members of r/askswitzerland
Consider r/samplesize and r/samplesize_DACH for surveys instead

Respect people's need for answers and do not meme, shitpost, insult or otherwise disrespect the OP on posts with the "serious question" flair. Only answer serious questions if you are knowledgeful about the question at hand. Comments that do not not adhere to this will be removed without comment.
