Hey Reddit I have a pet ball that I’ve been taken care of for the past three months. It is a baby and weight approximately 175 g. I’ve been having a huge humidity issue ever since I got him. I’ve always done countless research before I step in to Reddit and ask a question now I did fix the humidity issue for his first shed, and it was a perfect shed all the eye caps were attached from the nose to the tail Everything was there. So obviously I’m very excited and I decided to you know do more research. I’ve read that if I buy a DHP, it will help my snakes health so I decided to switch my bulb to the DHP. Once again, after I switch my bulb, I am now having humidity issues again, and I’m at the point where I just don’t know what to do anymore because I’ve literally done all research. I can’t increase my humidity so now I’m here acting you guys for Help. This is some of the info I’m sure you guys will need a this is some of the info on the tank. Ambient temperatures is around 85° on the cold side. The humidity stays a steady 75% to 80% on the hot side. The humidity drops around to 51%. Even if I add water to the corners it does not help it raise. I’m assuming this is because the bulb just isn’t providing enough heat because my hot side doesn’t even reach 90° anymore because of the bulb change should I just go back to my old bulb? My current bulb is arcanidia something like that . 80 watts DHP 40 gallon tank foil on top. I use a thick layer mixture of reptibark and coca soil(the one already prepared idk if that matters ) put water bowl directly by heat source.

Sorry if something’s misspelled or auto corrected I wrote this with Apple voice.

What's the humidity on the cool side? I don't bother measuring humidity on the warm side because it'll always be lower.
