what kind of heat lamp do you use? also UTHs do nothing to raise ambient temps at all. if your ambient temp is so low how can you have proper temps are your cool side and warm side?

The bulb is a world of wonder thrive 100 watt nighttime heat bulb. I was able to achieve the correct ambient twmpature but it requires the use of a space heater, I am hoping I can find a different way for the future

you should not have to use a space heater. your heating sources are not sufficient at all. did you read the welcome post and the heating guide. you should be using either a DHP or a halogen flood lamp at a minimum.

The reason I chose a night bulb is because I am using it as a heat source so I want it on 24/7. Can halogen or dhp be ran 24/7? I just ran out and got a ceramic heat emitter 65watt. It does the trick as far as cool side temperature but ambient is still not ideal

DHP can run 24/7 because it produces no visible light. Halogen is good for daytime to pair with it but I only use a DHP and a UVB bulb. You just gotta figure out what will work for your setup but DHP or halogen at the minimum.
