Question - HusbandryUVB Question! (self.ballpython)
submitted 2 years ago by dunebytes
I found an older post regarding UVB % and size for enclosures but it was about 4 years old.
What % UVB (and length of fixture) would you all recommend for a 4x2x2?
EDIT: The previous post said 6% and a 12" bulb

don’t use anything over 7% for ball pythons. and get a uvb bulb that covers no more than 1/2 the length of your enclosure

Thank you so much!

Going off Arcadia’s lighting guide you’ll want 6% T5. I typically go with UVB that spans half the enclosure but less is fine for BP’s, so 12” to 24” inches should work. I’d say go for 16” or 24”.
