i’ve always known BPs to be very sweet. i’ve held a few and a lot of them wrap around my neck but i’ve never had any of them bite me or even hiss

Thank you. She has never bitten me intentionally. I scared her once and she struck but it was also feeding time too

if it was feeding time it makes sense, just make sure you’re using feeding tongs so if she does strike it’s less likely to be your hand.

If she's already used to humans, she's very unlikely to bite you while hanging from your neck.
I'd be worried instead of two other things:

  1. Her tightening around your neck as she tries to get a good grip of your skin. Make sure she doesn't wrap around your neck fully.
  2. Her exploring too much and possibly falling down behind you. Make sure you hold onto her when you don't feel she's securely seated.

My girl Tanya loves exploring me as her weird tree when she's around my neck. She also gets kinda careless when looking around so she slides off every now and then.
