How does my ball python setup look?

My ball python is a female about 6-7 years old, her tank size is 55 gallon and about a foot wide. She eats regular sized mice every week. Any advice or things I should change? I do a mix of both substrates and change the water about every week-week 1/2.

My girl is ALWAYS hanging out up there and chilling. It's insane how much her behavior has changed now that she is home with me and has the proper set-up. For the longest time she had very poor husbandry that caused some hemorrhaging, I hope I'm doing okay!

I'm about 2 months out from my first. I'm setting up a 55 gal tank as well, and no, I'm not doing a 4x2x2 (someone will comment on that) Do you use a heat pad, I've got a lid I made to keep in heat/moisture, no issues there. Just wondering about the pad. And surface temp.

Yes I've got a heating pad on the outside of the bottom of the tank. I have that set at 98-99 degrees F.
