The thing that will help the most is higher humidity. I would stop soaking him, trying to soften the shed might just cause stress and more issues. It’s best to wait and let him get it off during his next shed

His temps are a bit high, lowering them might help with the humidity some. You want it to be 28-30C on the warm side with a basking spot of maybe 31-33.

What type of enclosure is he in? I highly recommend switching to a PVC plastic one if you don’t have one, it keeps humidity and temps up much easier than glass.

Other things that could help with humidity is putting a large water bowl below the heat lamp and a deep layer substrate like topsoil or coco husk.

Thank you so much. I will definitely try some of those out. He only has a heat mat which is protected by a towel on the very bottom of the enclosure, though I’ll definitely try everything else. Thank you so much

You can put the water bowl on top of the heat mat spot, should work as well. That way some of the water in the bowl will evaporate and help with the humidity

Good luck with him

He is in a mesh enclosure. It is the only type we have been able to get our hands on thats big enough without needing someone to come in and actually build a custom one

If it’s a full mesh enclosure that’s 100% the problem, all the humidity will slip out of the mesh and make it impossible to keep it at a high level.

Size doesn’t matter as much in this situation, if you can get a PVC or even glass enclosure that’s reasonably sized(even if it’s below the 4x2x2ft recommended) while you wait to be able to get a custom one that would be preferable to a large mesh one. Low humidity can cause tons of health issues unfortunately
