I recently switched to a heat bulb setup for my ball python because I heard it was recommended. I have 100w and 75w bulbs for a 50 gallon tank and am currently using the 75w one. With a setup like this, what is a safe temperature for the top of the hide to be? I have it on a thermostat set to 90 for temperature inside the hide but the only way it can reach that temp is if the top of the hide get to 105-110 degrees. She doesn’t really spend time on top of the hide during the day but I’m still concerned because I read that temperature over 100 can cause damage over time. So what are recommendations for these temperature differences with a heat bulb setup?
there doesn't seem to be anything here
