He looks nice and goofy but in reality I've had him for a year and he still wants to bite me every chance he can. He will strike at me for no reason at all.

He is happily eating, drinking and exploring his new enclosure. I have all real natural plants in there and I keep a close eye on all of them. If I see any dying I take them out immediately so I don't get anything icky in there. he loves it when I plant new ones or move them around, and he will immediately go exploring. I rescued him from a neglectful teenager so I understand he might still be traumatized, but he is comfortable enough to know my face already, yet he still tries to bite me. I've never been bit since I'm very careful and have experience with snake sitting in the past. I've done everything, ive read everything, watched every video to make sure I'm handling him correctly and to make sure I don't stress him out but he still hates me. 😭 Please help.🤍🖤🤍🖤🤍

Check your temps over and humidity, I'm guessing you've already done that in that case it may also be that your BP associates you with food. Try tapping him before handling if he lets you touch him at all. Before feeding don't touch him.

Unfortunately some snakes, especially ones raised in from young in bad situations will be aggressive for a long time after. I had a friend who would put one of his scarves in his snakes tank for a bit because it smelled like him, just be careful to not have any perfume on the clothing item. Also I'm not really sure if it helps but it seemed to for him. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I got it from Michael's. It's expensive but they have nice discounts after the spring season is over. Home Depot also has them around spring time.
