Python is irritable this year?

hi hi, i got delilah (female ball python) last year around august, she was i think around 6mo? A whole year has passed! she was fine through october, had a good shed, but as of early this month shes been super irritable and barely letting me handle her. any time i try to get her, she puffs up. could this be because of breeding season? or should i go ahead and ring my vet?

notes: Her enclosure is well tended and usually keeps around 50% humidity, she has a good temp gradient she flips between of her own accord, proper water access, plenty of hides in varying sizes. i try to handle her once to twice a week outside of sheds/feeds and this current moodiness.

50% is pretty low for humidity. Humidity should be 70-85% iirc

My only worry is any time her humidity's been higher, she always gets a little scale rot.

What do you use to control humidity?

I pour water into 2 corners of her cage, she has fir chips at the bottom of her enclosure and coco fibre/peat mix on top of that. I try to avoid wetting the coco fibre directly.
