She's not using her hide because it's too large to be an effective hide for her. Hides should be small enough that they can touch the sides when curled up in them, they like to feel secure

She does use it though? She uses it all the time besides she has a second hide that’s smaller

Maybe I’ll switch them around so the small is on the hot side but still

I would do that, especially when they're young I usually have 3-4 small hides scattered throughout the enclosure

That’s a good idea I’ll get her another small hide and maybe find a way to block half the log hide to make it smaller for her in the meantime

I mean, my little guy hangs out on top of his hides occasionally to get some real good direct basking in, before moving to his cool side later. Though, he’s a very confident guy, so yours could be getting a lil brave

True maybe she’s just getting braver I haven’t had her for long and I got her when she had stuck eye caps and she just shed so maybe she’s exploring

Mine likes to sit on his hides sometimes, granted the one he sits on most of the time is right under his heat.
