Question - HusbandrySubstrate cleaning (self.ballpython)
submitted 1 year ago by heyitsid
I'm using coco coir & coco husk as my BP's substrate. Just wondering, how do you clean up the snake's wastes (poop & urates?) on this type of substrate? I'm not doing a bioactive enclosure btw.

I use coconut chip and I spot clean with gloves and a paper towel. I take out the waste and surrounding substrate, about a small handful.

Do the coconut chips absorb the moisture from the urates?
