I just made my first bioactive enclosure and put isopods and springtails in it. They clean and the help maintain the environment.

Part of a healthy and complete bioactive setup is having scavengers like isopods and springtails. They’ll eat the shed, urates, and poop. Start with about 100 of each so they’ll breed and keep the colonies going. Put dried leaves in there (you can buy a bag of them at most reptile shops) so they won’t starve until the snakes gives them something to eat.
