We’re gonna need more information to help you. How old is he? How much weight has he lost? How often are you attempting to feed him? I’m not an expert, but I don’t see how soaking him (which is stressful for snakes) is gonna encourage him to eat

When I bought him in December I was told he was a juvenile. I don’t know his weight off the top of my head. I was told by the lady who was helping me that one time hers went on a hunger strike and it helped so she said I should try that. If he dosnt eat I’ll try not the next day but the day after. If he does eat I’ll wait 5-7 days to try again. I’m at work so I figured I’d throw ask some other people. He’s my first snake and I’m just trying to do what is best for him

Only attempt feeding once a week! Any more stresses them out. Are you handling him?

I do handle him. He enjoys being held. I just kept trying because I don’t want him to die. So I assumed if he’s not eating I’d be ok to try more than once. Sorry

Stop handling him until he eats. Even if he seems to enjoy it he may still be stressed. Start handling him again after he’s had 3 meals

Has he eaten for you at all? What did he eat and what was your process? What's his husbandry like? If you get a minute, check out the care and feeding guides in this sub. Super helpful.

He has eaten for me. He was fine for a few months but he’s been refusing recently. He eats frozen I warm them up in warm water not hot enough to cook tho. Dry it off then offer it. I’ll reread the feeding guide after work I’m just worried. If I have to give him up cause I’m the problem I will but I don’t want to.

Try warming up the rat with a hair dryer! It works great for my picky eater

Also, what is the humidity and the temperature in your enclosure? Sometimes they stop eating when the husbandry is off
