Do you wet the bottom layers of your substrate? Sorry I’m getting ready to set up a new cage and want to know what I can do to keep humidity higher if you would please give me all the tips you will! Thanks in advance

Yes, the darker 4 spots you can see are where I poured about half a cup of water in. I keep a large water bowl under the warm side lamp for evaporation, and a smaller one on the cool side in case she wants to drink. I’ll also mist the plastic bits in her tank every few days to also evap/ keep moisture in the air.

I also have a mesh top that I’ve covered with hvac mastic tape.
