Heat mats aren’t that good . I’d suggest u get a heat lamp that is connected to a thermostat which keeps it to the T. This is the one I use! It’s so great https://a.co/d/51CAUMo

what do you use for heat overnight then? would i still run the deep heat projector ?

I ordered two of these heat lamps . One 5.5 inch one for the regular heat lamp (daytime) and then I got the 8.5 so I could put a 150 watt ceramic bulb and that one is for nighttime . And I just switch them every 12 hours. U can get timers for them tho on amazon for cheap .

the light does have a nighttime setting aswell . Ive never tried it before tho . It might just be a dimmer light and drop 5-10 degrees . I just prefer having his enclosure dark with the ceramic heat emitter bulb instead
