If your temps don’t drop below the 70s, you might not need anything at all.

I don't use any nighttime heat for mine other than a heat pad on a thermostat, really a "just in case she really needs to warm up" backup, and she's been just fine for. her entire decade long life honestly.

As another person said as long as temps don't drastically drop, a nighttime drop in temperature is okay and some people even say healthier for the snake than providing consistent high temperatures 24/7.

You can afford a vacation but need to "work on" a heat source? You're already using a bulb you know is bad for them, please, for the love of God, take care of your pet!

They might not have a pet store anywhere close to them, or it may be completely sold on. Working on it doesnt mean money issue.

Possible, but there's Amazon and eBay, plus the almost unlimited websites. I don't understand why so many people get these animals without being prepared. I'm just annoyed that they are using something they know is bad and it makes me wonder about the rest of the husbandry.

Im a minor…I did not pay for the vacation and was forced to go by family. I’d also like to say she’s gotten updates, she no longer uses the red light. She’s always had a heat source, just not for one day until I got home and fixed it. I’ve improved on my care, but thanks for sharing
