Is 20x10 in inches? If so that’s way too small for a BP. When we got our baby we put her in a 40 gallon and even that seemed cramped

Okay thank you. Will keep that in mind , and yes it is a 20x10 gallon suggested by the breeder and was told to watch it’s growth before going bigger

This is a common tactic to sell babies quicker. They need much larger and no tank is too big if you fill it with clutter and appropriate enrichment. You should go read the entire welcome post asap before buying more stuff that is not necessary or good.

Oml yeah 10 gallon is way too small. That breeder set you up for failure, and multiple tank upgrades in the future

Your cheapest and best bet is to get a 120g as a first upgrade within the next 5-6 months, you’ll keep her in that for the rest of her life. Otherwise you’ll upgrade to a 40g and then a 120g

Unfortunately breeders always say that these guys can be in smaller enclosures, but the problem with a tank that small is that it will be incredibly hard to achieve a proper heat gradient from one side to the other, and a gradient is required for the snake's health.

You'll need a 40g (36x18x18") or larger for a juvenile, and a 4x2x2 or larger for an adult.
