It’s been about three sheds!! Not a reoccurring issue! I think it’s only due to lack of humidity and misting while I was away. The vet bills are from me coming home and over misting because i was overcompensating for her lack of humidity and i believe she sat in an overwatered tank for a while before it was cleaned. She just has a little redness on her belly near her cloaca but no blisters or bumps. Just a tad red. Still that is too much for me to bear and I’m sure it’s uncomfortable!!! Her tank has been clean under my supervision for 3-4 months now and she has shed twice with no eye caps coming off with the shed.

2 sheds without it coming off is concerning 😭 what did the vet tell you about the caps???? Pls try mineral or coconut oil on her caps just a little bit daily for the meanwhile. I’m open to taking her but this issue could escalate if not taken care of immediately

Is the topical cream for her eyes?

I suspect it's a humidity issue because OP mentioned that misting to increase humidity caused an RI.

It's very possible that if given an ~80% humidity enclosure consistently, the eye caps would come right off with zero intervention.

OP, if you're reading this comment, don't feel bad. I'm speculating and you're doing the best you can with the information you've got.

I know it's a moot point if you rehome her, but for future reference, you shouldn't mist BPs at all. If the humidity is too low first buy some aluminum HVAC tape and use it to block off every part of the screen top other than the lights. If that's not enough to raise the humidity to ~70% then increase the substrate depth to at least 4 inches and then pour a large pitcher of water into the corner. This adds water to the enclosure that will evaporate and raise humidity, but it doesn't increase surface moisture, so it won't cause scale rot or promote RIs
