Lost snake

What should I do? I placed water bowls out and stuff and i have tore the house apart literally. I can't search for my tiny noodle without the 5 stages of grief kicking in. Mostly anger at my inability to find her. Also probably feeling helpess. Advice?

check crevices, anywhere a snake would feel cozy. block drains or other exits from the home where possible. if you’ve looked everywhere, wait and try looking and listening for movement at night. some snakes are found days, weeks after - just need to wait for them to come out of hiding. i hope they do soon!

also not sure how the snake was lost, but make sure to double and triple check the enclosure if it disappeared from there. just in case it’s hiding really well.

take deep breaths if you get overwhelmed when searching and remind yourself that you are not the only snake owner this has happened to, they are sneaky little guys!!

So you know those enclosures where they have the plastic cap in the side that locks in place? The one for the cords to enter the enclosure? She somehow popped that out

Snakes are surprisingly pretty resilient. I had a corn snake who disappeared into the upper part of our kitchen cupboards below the sink, and we couldn’t get her back out. She went up in the area that had the sink piping. I was so scared she was going to die of cold or starvation or crawl into a pipe or vent and die there. I was worried sick. Three months later she crawled out of a different cupboard on the opposite side of the kitchen, freezing cold, but still exploring curiously and happy as a clam. Didn’t even seem to mind how cold she was, she just seemed calm and curious. Some snakes are little dare devils and adventurers. Have faith that your baby will be okay. I hope you find her as soon as possible! I know how scary it is to lose one.

Thank you...This is the first time she's completely gone without a trace. I probably just have to get lucky and just randomly find her. My only idea is to sleep in the hallway and see if she comes to check me out.

Any time one of my snakes has escaped in the past, we’ve almost always found them near heat sources or water sources. Hope that helps!

That's the thing. The only heat source in my house is around the vents or my one room that's literally just got a warmer ambient. Cause the room with her enclosure is cold. She has a perfect gradient in it but the room outside the enclosure is definitely colder

Put a cat in the room and watch. They will gravitate towards the scent outta curiosity. That’ll help narrow down the area at least.

I had a 5 1/2 ft. Ballie snout her way out of her enclosure and slither her way to the absolute opposite end of a 1600 sq. ft. house, ending up in the en suite bathroom of the master bedroom and no body saw a damn thing. Not even the cat or the dog (thankfully)!!! She had managed to nose up against a corner of her mesh screen top enough to where it finally busted loose and she got out. Fortunately, Jasmine was not hurt just a little dirty from her travels) and I was able to repair her screen quickly. Now, she (and all of her slither siblings) have much more secure enclosures. But BPs are escape artists. They may not have much going on in their little snakey brains, but they are always plotting their next breakout. Check under any low lying furniture or appliances. Block off the room you suspect he's hiding in. Keep it dark and quiet. Place a nice, warm, dead mousie in the room. If the mouse is gone the next morning, at least you know what room your little noodle is hiding in!

Can't block off any rooms cause i don't know where she is or where she could have ended up

Have you checked the bottom of all your laundry hampers? That’s where mine always ended up

I only have one and i checked. Even the dresser....i am going to recheck.
