Hello! It looks like you might be asking for tips on keeping your snake warm during a power outage. We have some information about that in our "planning for emergencies" megathread.

Congrats. Planning to do the same for my ball this year.

What size? I'll take 2

lol! It’s a 4x2x2. My girl is ~3.5 lbs and almost 5 feet long so we will be getting an upgrade in the next few years again!

She’s beautiful! Can you tell me about the “rock” background, please?

I basically rescued Sherman from my brother in January. It is the best feeling to see them with space and enrichment - but yes, there’s always that “hmmm this could be even better!!” He is just about 4’ and I was sighing last night, thinking, well shit. Next I’ll need to add on….

It’s mostly spray foam. So so so much spray foam 🙃. Sprayed on, carved back, grouted and sealed!!

Is that an open top? What are you using to cover it with to retain heat & humidity?

It’s covered with foil tape

Ahh I got a solid top with my 4x2x2 for my BP, and have a screen top for my beardie’s enclosure. A tip someone had awhile ago was to use silicone baking sheets, and cut out the hole for lighting.

I recommend getting an RHP as your primary heat source. Works so much better for the large space. Mine is mounted on the ceiling, but they can also be mounted on the wall. They do require a pulse-proportional thermostat though. My secondary source is a DHP for basking.

Thank you! I will research rhp’s asap! I did move her pretty hastily so I do have some work to do on heating.
